History and Milestones
1918 Shihlin Mill was founded under the name of “Taiwan Paper K.K.” by Japanese.
1946 The Government took over five paper mills: Shihlin, Lotung, Tatu, HsinYing, Hsiaokang from Japanese and consolidated them into ”Taiwan Paper Corporation”, as a national corporation under the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
1959 “Taiwan Paper Corporation” was reshuffled by means of privatization, and renamed as ”Shihlin Paper Corporation”. Shihlin Paper Corporation was established with two paper machines ,output capability of 8,900 tons per year, and capital of 27,200,000 NTD. Over the years of expending, to its present scale with four paper machines.
1963 Successful production of the first coated paperboard in Taiwan.
1970 Established “ Yung An Mill” in Tao Yuan County.
1971 Yung An Mill installed pulping facility to produce straw pulp for Shihlin Mill.
1978 Yung An Mill installed No.1 paper machine which possessed an output capability of 100 tons per day.
1984 Yung An Mill installed No.2 paper machine which possessed an output capability of 200 tons per day.
1989 Yung An Mill installed No.3 paper machine which possessed an output capability of 80 tons per day.
1990 Set up a subsidiary company, Shihlin Environmental Purification CO.,Ltd.
1990 Work complete on a full set of steam-power co-generation equipment of which capability to 11,820KW in Yung An Mill.
1994 Renovate the output capability of No.2 paper machine to 250 tons per day in Yung An Mill.
1997 Yung An Mill completed ISO 9000 certification.
1998 Work complete on wastewater treating equipment in Yung An Mill.
1998 To coordinate the urban developing project of Shihlin Mill, the company has moved production center to Yung An Mill.
2000 Yung An Mill installed No.4 paper machine which possessed an output capability of 50 tons per day.
2003 Yung An Mill upgraded treating equipment ability to improve the wastepaper purity, and added two high-speed cutters to speed up the delivery.
2003 To pursuit a better competitive edge, the company implemented professional job assignment, transfered Shihlin plant and related house property to wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunshine Shihlin Development Co.,Ltd., which not only engaged in residence, building, real estate renting and selling business, but also invested in public construction and office building renting projects.
2004~2006 Paper machine renovating and producing paper categories simplified projects promoted capacity production up to 20% in Yung Mill.
